The Famous Razor
Where it all started
Take a trip back in time to see the transformation.
In 1963 John's Barber shop was open by John Curlis. John was working for another local barber up in the Village of Medford before opening John's Barber Shop in Medford Lakes. John mostly worked by himself but did have other barbers apprentice under him from time to time. His last few years as owner he worked side by side with his daughter barbering.
In 2010 the shop was taken over by Breelynn Wittje in staying with tradition she never changed the name of the shop. The first year was full of remodeling and updating to bring the shop to life. The shop grew more then Bree could have imaged and took on its own identity and started to draw its own clientele. In 2014 she changed the name of the shop to the Famous Razor and the rest is history.
